Job summary

Hudson Singapore is assisting a renowned semiconductor equipment company in Singapore to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer reporting to the Design Manager.

You will design electrical, embedded, and motion control systems, develop FPGA-based and analog/digital circuits, and build prototypes, PCBA, and cables for advanced equipment.

This role requires hands-on hardware experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to analyze data and prepare reports for ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on hardware design experience.
• Familiar with semiconductor equipment environment.

Job description

Our Client is a renowned organisation in the Semiconductor industry with a strong presence worldwide. They are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor equipment) as part of their expansion plans in Singapore, reporting to the Design Manager.

THE ROLE

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor equipment) is responsible for:

• Design and develop electrical, embedded, and motion control systems for advanced semiconductor equipment
• Create and simulate digital and analog circuits, including FPGA-based designs
• Build, test, debug, and support prototypes, PCBA, cables, and system integration
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve technical issues and improve system performance
• Analyze system data and prepare technical reports to support development and improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Hands‑on experience in hardware design, FPGA, motion control systems, and drivers
• Knowledge of circuit design, PCB design, and basic control systems (PID is a plus)
• Proficient in Zuken E3 for cable harness and electrical design documentation.
• Familiar with communication protocols such as VME, PCIe, RS485, Ethernet, LVDS, and SerDes
  Experience with stepper motors, motion control, motor drivers, and microcontroller.
• Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry, with strong problem‑solving skills and teamwork.
