Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the engineering and operation of production Elastic Stack and Kafka platforms. You’ll design and maintain ingestion pipelines, manage Elasticsearch environments, automate Linux operations, and support live systems across virtual and physical infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on engineering, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and end-to-end ownership of production outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in platform or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on production experience with Elastic Stack and Kafka.
• Proficient Linux administration across RHEL/Ubuntu preferred.
• Scripting or programming experience (Python or Bash).
• Experience with Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own design, deployment, and maintenance of production Elastic Stack environments.
• Administer Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and related components.
• Build ingestion pipelines with data lifecycle policies.
• Manage Kafka topics, partitions, and retention strategies.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python or Bash.
• Create Ansible playbooks and configuration procedures.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for platform changes and infrastructure.
• Lead incident investigations and document technical actions.
