Job summary

Amaris Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the engineering and operation of production Elastic Stack and Kafka platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain ingestion pipelines and ensure reliable live systems across virtualized and physical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in platform engineering or DevOps, with hands-on Elastic Stack deployment experience, strong Linux skills, and proficiency in Python or Bash scripting, Ansible, and CI/CD

Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience in platform engineering or DevOps.
4-5 years of hands-on Elastic Stack design, deployment and production support.
Strong production experience with Elastic Stack ingestion, indexing, cluster administration and analytics.
Proficient Linux administration skills (RHEL/Ubuntu).
At least 2 years of scripting or programming experience using Python or Bash.
Experience with Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience supporting live production systems and resolving complex incidents.
Experience with both virtualised and physical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain production Elastic Stack environments.
Manage Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Agent, Beats, and related components.
Build and maintain ingestion pipelines including parsing, routing, enrichment, indexing, and data lifecycle policies.
Administer and maintain Elasticsearch cluster health, shard allocation, replicas, storage, performance and recovery procedures.
Operate Kafka environments including topics, partitions, consumer groups, retention and latency.
Write automation tooling using Python or Bash; create Ansible playbooks and configuration procedures.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform configuration, code and infrastructure changes.
Lead incident investigations and document root-cause analyses.
