We are looking for a Senior Elastic Platform Engineer to join our technology team in Singapore and take ownership of the design, deployment, automation and production support of large-scale Elastic environments. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on platform management, automation, development and operational excellence. You will work across the Elastic Stack, Kafka, Linux, scripting and automation technologies to ensure highly available, scalable and reliable platforms.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Design, deploy, configure and support production‑grade Elastic Stack environments at scale.
- Manage the full Elastic data lifecycle, including ingestion, indexing, search, analytics, monitoring and performance optimisation.
- Administer and troubleshoot Elastic components in complex production environments.
- Work extensively with Kafka for high-volume data ingestion and streaming.
- Perform Linux administration across RHEL and/or Ubuntu environments.
- Develop scripts and automation using Python and/or Bash.
- Automate platform deployment, configuration and operational processes using Ansible or equivalent automation tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve platform delivery and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across application, operating system, infrastructure and platform layers.
- Support environments spanning both virtualised and physical infrastructure.
- Monitor platform health, capacity, performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of platform architecture, reliability, security and automation.
- Work closely with engineering and technology teams to deliver robust solutions and maintain high production standards.
- Take ownership of incidents, problems and technical improvements through to resolution.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, infrastructure, or a related discipline.
- At least 4-5 years of direct, hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and supporting Elastic Stack platforms in production.
- Strong production experience with Elastic Stack ingestion, indexing, cluster administration, monitoring, and analytics.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Kafka in production environments.
- Proficient Linux administration skills across RHEL and/or Ubuntu.
- At least 2 years of scripting or programming experience using Python or Bash.
- Experience with Ansible or a comparable automation and configuration management tool.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version‑controlled infrastructure or configuration.
- Experience supporting live production systems and resolving complex technical incidents.
- Experience working with both virtualised and physical infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of technical outcomes.
