Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) invites applications for a Senior Second Line AFC Assurance leadership role. You will oversee robust risk-based testing, drive an evolving assurance plan, and deliver high‑impact insights to senior leaders using data analytics and technology.

You will build partnerships across First, Second and Third Lines, champion quality and control standards, and lead a talented team to continuously enhance control effectiveness and industry-leading practices.

Qualifications

Demonstrated subject matter expertise in financial crime.
Experience in assurance or audit is advantageous.
Background in compliance, audit or legal is advantageous.
Minimum 15 years in financial industry focused on financial crime or assurance.
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
Knowledge of industry trends in financial crime, audit or AIDA.
Ability to present and influence senior leadership.
Impeccable integrity and proven performance.

Responsibilities

Lead Second Line AFC Assurance oversight over First Line activities.
Build partnerships across First, Second, Third Line and control functions to sense risks.
Articulate priorities and insights to senior leaders using data analytics.
Engage in internal and external engagements as a senior AFC Assurance leader.
Engage with First and Third Line to ensure effective challenge and alignment.
Champion collaboration with quality control and audit peers; leverage First Line work.
Lead as a people manager and mentor, building high-performing teams.
Drive adoption of AI and data analytics within AFC Assurance.
Engage with senior management to translate insights into actions.
Lead examination management for hotspot analysis and assurance planning.
