Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Anti-Financial Crimes Assurance within Overseas Compliances Management.

The role focuses on planning and executing AFC assurance reviews across the bank's international operations, reporting to the Head of AFC Assurance. The candidate will develop robust assurance plans, coordinate with Line 1 and Line 2 teams, and leverage data analytics and AI-enabled tools to enhance testing and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in financial services assurance or compliance testing.
• Strong knowledge of anti-financial crime processes and controls (AML and fraud).
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills with clear risk articulation.

Responsibilities

• Plan AFC assurance engagements for international operations and define scope, timelines and dependencies.
• Conduct reviews of controls design, implementation and outcomes; gather evidence through documents and interviews.
• Draft findings with ratings and present to Head of AFC Assurance and stakeholders.
• Support action-plan tracking, progress validation, and prepare management reporting and MI.
