Job summary

Rakuten in Singapore is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer (Tech Management Section) to own end-to-end DevOps delivery for the Global Ad Technology Department. You will design and operate CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and drive automation and observability across multiple locations.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, strong Linux skills, IaC tooling, and a proactive mindset to improve service quality in a high-traffic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on DevOps experience with production-scale systems.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef) and container platforms.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and VPC networking.
• Strong UNIX/Linux administration and scripting for automation.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Security practices in CI/CD and infrastructure (secret management, vulnerability checks).
• Excellent English communication; cross-functional collaboration across locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary DevOps point of contact for GATD service teams across multiple locations.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms.
• Automate routine production and non-production operations using tooling like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Provision and manage public cloud infrastructure using IaC; plan migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Integrate security fundamentals into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Own critical incidents end-to-end with RCA and long-term fixes.
• Evaluate and implement AI-driven tooling to improve productivity and delivery efficiency.
