Job summary

Rakuten Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of DevOps for the Global Ad Technology Department. You will design and operate scalable CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and observability platforms across multiple locations, driving automation and security.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps, hands-on with Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience with high-traffic production systems.
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent; familiarity with artifact tools is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with public cloud platforms (preferably GCP) including infrastructure setup, management, and migration.
• Strong UNIX/Linux system administration skills and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Security fundamentals in a DevOps context (vulnerability scanning, secret management, secure config).
• Excellent cross-location collaboration; English proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary DevOps point of contact for GATD service teams across locations, supporting build, deploy, monitor, and operate of services.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms for high availability and reliable delivery.
• Automate production/non-production operations using standard tooling; manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provision and manage public cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code; plan lifecycle management and migrations.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, including vulnerability scanning and secret management.
• Own critical incidents end-to-end, driving RCA and long-term fixes; escalate as needed.
• Evaluate AI-driven tooling to improve productivity and delivery efficiency for teams.
