Job summary

Paragon Alpha - Hedge Fund Talent Business seeks a senior DevOps Engineer to scale and operate mission-critical trading infrastructure spanning CeFi and DeFi venues. You will improve performance, reliability and security in a fast-paced, globally distributed team.

You will own IaC with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible, manage Kubernetes-based workloads on AWS, and drive automation, observability (Prometheus/Grafana) and incident response in a high-trust production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE for high-performance production systems.
• Proficiency with Linux administration and AWS.
• Kubernetes experience required.
• Hands-on with Prometheus and Grafana; incident response experience.
• IaC experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of network/system performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Security practices including IAM and SIEM; crypto/finance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure performance and reliability of mission-critical trading infrastructure.
• Operate and improve highly available, low-latency systems under global load.
• Participate in on-call rotation and conduct RCAs and preventive improvements.
• Use observability stacks to detect anomalies and support incident response.
• Build, scale infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Collaborate with trading, engineering, and security teams on infrastructure needs.
• Implement robust security practices to support high-trust production environments.
• Apply optimization strategies to increase throughput and reduce latency.
