Join DevOps is seeking a DevOps Lead to head a Cloud Platform team in Singapore. This role blends people leadership with hands-on depth across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD to evolve a scalable platform with self-service tooling and strong guardrails.

The candidate will drive platform reliability, security, and cost optimization while championing a culture of ownership and high-velocity delivery.

Competenze

• 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience managing engineers and driving cross-team collaboration.
• Strong systems and cloud fundamentals with sharp troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with networking and databases (Postgres, Redshift), plus scripted automation and internal tooling.
• Exposure to regulated and/or audited environments (PCI-DSS, SOC2, ISO27001).

About the Company

Our client is a global fintech infrastructure player powering customer engagement programs for major banks, and other customer-first industries globally. With a footprint spanning 20+ cities, they're hiring a DevOps Lead to head up their team's evolution into a dedicated Cloud Platform function.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead a team of 6 engineers as it transitions into a Cloud Platform organization. This role blends people leadership with hands‑on technical depth across Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.

• Own and refine the cloud platform roadmap based on stakeholder input and technical vision
• Design and evolve the platform with a bias toward self-service and paved-road tooling
• Champion a "you build it, you own it" culture through guardrails, tooling, and observability
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and quality across infrastructure, code, and documentation
• Drive improvements in scalability, automation, performance, CI/CD, and self-service
• Balance cost optimization (FinOps) against reliability, velocity, and performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability, including complex architectures at scale
• Prior experience managing engineers and driving cross-team collaboration
• Strong systems and cloud fundamentals with sharp troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience with networking and databases (Postgres, Redshift), plus scripted automation and internal tooling
• Exposure to regulated and/or audited environments (PCI-DSS, SOC2, ISO27001)
