SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate and operate scalable infrastructure and deployment platforms in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management, such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet or Chef.
• Good experience administering Linux environments, preferably Ubuntu/Debian.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash/Shell, Python, PowerShell, Groovy or equivalent.
• Experience with monitoring and observability technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK or APM tools.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, routing and load balancing.
• Experience implementing security controls and DevSecOps practices within CI/CD and cloud environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and production issues independently.
• Familiarity with Vault, Keycloak, SonarQube, Nexus and Jira would be advantageous.
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven platforms such as Kafka would be advantageous.
• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications would be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and provide technical guidance to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of DevOps platforms, cloud infrastructure and deployment environments.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing and deployment processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Design and manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Perform day-to-day monitoring, deployment, backup, maintenance and troubleshooting of production and non-production environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to improve system availability, performance and reliability.
• Develop scripts and automation for system administration, health checks, deployment and operational activities.
• Implement DevSecOps and security hardening practices throughout build, testing and production environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, application deployment and production issues, including root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to improve the end-to-end software release lifecycle.
• Provide technical input into infrastructure architecture, system design and implementation.
• Drive improvements in scalability, availability, performance and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools to continuously improve DevOps processes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides and system design documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on deployment, automation and operational best practices.
• Promote a strong DevOps/DevSecOps culture across development and operations teams.

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to drive the design, automation and operation of scalable and highly available infrastructure and deployment platforms. You will work closely with development, product and infrastructure teams to improve CI/CD, cloud operations, system reliability and DevSecOps practices while providing technical guidance to the engineering team.
