Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to support delivery, deployment and maintenance of production systems. You will collaborate with Development, Product and Operations to improve reliability, automation and security in the software delivery process.

The candidate should have 5+ years of DevOps/infrastructure experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling. Strong scripting in Bash/Python and security hardening are essential, along with mentoring

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant DevOps, cloud infrastructure or system administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as AWS, GCP/Azure, Jenkins/GitLab and Terraform/Ansible.
• Proficient in containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, with scripting experience in Bash or Python.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps, security hardening, system monitoring and Linux-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Product and Operations teams to ensure smooth system delivery, maintenance planning and resolution of build or deployment issues.
• Oversee system monitoring, backup, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes to support reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Build automation scripts for service monitoring, system health checks and operational processes.
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure and environments using technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Implement automated security hardening across testing, deployment and production environments based on industry best practices.
• Provide technical input for solution design and implementation, while driving improvements across the end-to-end release process.
• Identify and implement new tools, technologies and process enhancements to improve production system reliability and efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on system setup, deployment and maintenance.
• Develop operating procedures, technical documentation and troubleshooting guides, and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Remuneration Package: Up to $10K + AWS + VB
