Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or sysadmin experience including leading technical deliveries.
• Strong delivery experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, RDS, ELB, EFS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, MSK.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus and Maven.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.

Salary: Up to $10,000 + AWS + VB

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to oversee the design, implementation and continuous improvement of secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across cloud architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, container orchestration, system administration and production monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and operation of DevOps solutions across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Architect and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Build and optimise reliable, high-velocity CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus and Maven.
• Lead the containerisation and orchestration of applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible AWX/Tower, Chef or Puppet.
• Design and manage networking components, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routing and load-balancing configurations.
• Implement monitoring, logging and application performance monitoring solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and CloudWatch.
• Support the implementation and administration of platforms such as HashiCorp Vault and Keycloak.
• Automate repeatable operational and deployment processes using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Groovy.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment and system administration issues across development, testing and production environments.
• Establish DevOps standards, operational procedures and engineering best practices.
• Produce and maintain system design documents, technical manuals, operational guides and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security and quality assurance teams to embed automation, security and quality controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct design reviews and mentor DevOps engineers within the team.
• Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, deployment efficiency, system security and operational resilience.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or system administration, including experience leading technical deliveries.
• Strong delivery experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on AWS experience with services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, EFS, ELK, ElastiCache, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS and MSK would be advantageous.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus and Maven.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
