Job summary

Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, Inc in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead the architectural design development and documentation of a major hospitality project in the Middle East.

The successful candidate will have extensive luxury hotel experience, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams from SD through DD to Tender stages with hands-on AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
• 8–10 years of architectural experience, preferably with international design consultancies.
• Proven experience in luxury hotel and large-scale hospitality developments.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate architectural design development and documentation from SD through Tender stage.
• Prepare, manage and review detailed architectural drawings, specifications and tender packages.
• Coordinate with international consultants, specialist designers and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure design quality, technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage drawing production, BIM workflows, interdisciplinary coordination and project deliverables.
• Work closely with the project leadership team to maintain design intent, program and quality standards.

Smallwood is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Designer to join our Singapore office and lead the architectural design development and documentation of a major hospitality project in the Middle East.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in luxury hotel and hospitality projects, with the proven ability to lead and coordinate large-scale developments from Schematic Design(SD) through Design Development (DD) to Tender Documentation. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage multi disciplinary coordination with subconsultants, engineers and specialist consultants, including kitchen, F&B, lighting, acoustics, fire and life safety, and other relevant disciplines, ensuring fully coordinated design and documentation deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate architectural design development and documentation from SD through Tender stage.
• Prepare, manage and review detailed architectural drawings, specifications and tender packages.
• Coordinate with international consultants, specialist designers and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure design quality, technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage architectural documentation from SD through DD and Tender stages.
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural detailing, building systems and multi disciplinary coordination.
• Experience working on projects in the Middle East is essential.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Immediate availability is strongly preferred.
