Job summary

Vallan seeks a design leader with 10+ years guiding luxury hospitality projects from concept to completion. You excel in detail, stakeholder diplomacy, and on-site delivery within budget and schedule.

You will own design quality, collaborate with top consultants, and coordinate between architects, interiors, lighting, AV, and operations to ensure alignment with design intent. Singapore-based role reporting to the Executive Director of Design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with external consultants and internal stakeholders to translate vision into execution.
• Be the voice between architects, interior designers, lighting, AV, and operations teams.
• Mentor the team and drive improvements in the design process.
• Conduct site and factory visits to verify fabrication aligns with design direction.

Job description

You're a design leader with 10+ years steering luxury hospitality projects from concept to completion. You have the eye for detail, the diplomacy to navigate complex stakeholder needs, and the operational knowledge to make design work on-site, on-budget, and on-time.

What You'll Do:

• Own the design quality and delivery on our most important projects—from brief development through final site compliance
• Partner with world-class design consultants and internal stakeholders to translate design vision into practical execution
• Be the voice between architects, interior designers, lighting, AV, and operations teams—keeping everyone aligned on design intent
• Assess consultant performance, mentor the team, and drive continuous improvement in our design process
• Conduct site and factory visits to ensure fabrication matches the approved design direction

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 10 years in luxury hospitality design (high-end hotels, integrated resorts, major consultancy or developer background)
• Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
• Expertise in space planning, FF&E, building regulations, and design processes
• Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and managing competing timelines
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp
• Experience with complex, regulated hospitality environments is valuable
