QUANTUM INFOTECH SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced DB2 Database Administrator to optimise SQL queries, assist in design, and troubleshoot issues across DEV, TEST, UAT and PROD environments.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, data integrity, and best practices for database development. The candidate will collaborate with application teams to implement changes, monitor performance, and ensure smooth migrations through the development lifecycle while leveraging mainframe concepts

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/CE or related field required.
Minimum 10 years of DB2 database administration experience preferred.
Experience with mainframe concepts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Reviewing and optimising DB2 SQL queries for performance.
Assisting in database design, including tables, indexes, and relationships.
Troubleshooting database issues including SQL errors and data integrity concerns.
Supporting database changes through DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD, coordinating migrations.
Monitoring database performance and performing tuning like reorganising tablespaces and updating statistics.
Providing guidance on DB2 best practices and coding standards.
Supporting data refresh, test data preparation, and database-related test validation.
