Job summary

Zenith Infotech (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to migrate, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and administer database platforms in production and non-production environments while ensuring IT compliance.

You will manage backups, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and documentation, with a focus on security and reliability across Windows and Linux ecosystems.

This is a full-time onsite role in the West Central region with a competitive salary and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computing, IT, or equivalent.
• Experience in system administration for enterprise database environments.
• Strong SQL/PL-SQL proficiency and scripting abilities.
• Familiarity with IT compliance standards such as CIS across Windows/Linux.
• Ability to analyze and resolve database problems quickly and effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to report status and issues.

Responsibilities

• Create and configure databases and networks per guidelines.
• Review and optimize database scripts and procedures.
• Maintain routine maintenance schedules for optimal performance.
• Monitor backups, recovery, and replication processes.
• Perform disaster recovery and rebuild DR servers as needed.
• Tune performance via indexing, partitioning, and SQL optimization.
• Document daily checks and report status to stakeholders.
• Report monthly on database size, uptime and performance.
• Update and document DBA procedures regularly.
• Handle ad-hoc duties to support database operations.
