Job summary

Dada Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to manage and optimize production databases across MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB on AWS. You will implement high-availability, backup, and DR solutions, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with SRE/DevOps for migrations and upgrades.

The role requires hands-on AWS database experience, strong SQL tuning skills, Linux proficiency, and automation via Python/Bash or Terraform/Ansible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of database administration or engineering experience, including hands-on AWS database experience.
• Strong expertise in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, replication, and high availability.
• Solid experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, or other managed database services.
• Proficiency in Linux, SQL troubleshooting, and scripting (Python/Bash).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Understanding of cloud networking, database security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting high-traffic, business-critical production systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
