Job summary

GoTo Group’s GoPay team is seeking a Data Scientist to develop personalization and recommendation models that tailor offers and experiences for users. You will prototype, test, and deploy ML pipelines, using large-scale behavioral data to drive feature design and business impact.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to improve discovery, engagement, and conversions, leveraging LLMs/LLVMs in search or recommendation pipelines to boost matching accuracy.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in applied data science or ML roles.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
• Strong ML fundamentals: supervised learning, ranking, embeddings, evaluation metrics.
• Hands-on experience with recommender systems, personalization, search, or ranking models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and analysts to build data science solutions that boost GoPay engagement and transactions.
• Rapidly prototype DS solutions and contribute to product and feature discussions.
• Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights and business impact.
• Own end‑to‑end solutioning from problem framing to deployment with engineers.
