Job summary

Activate Interactive Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and operate logging and data‑platform capabilities for the MOE GovTech SSOE environment. You will craft a scalable platform across on‑premise, GCC, AWS, Azure and hybrid environments to support logging, telemetry, and data integration.

Collaborate with Observability and Data Engineering & Analytics teams to deliver secure, resilient data pipelines, schemas, and APIs, ensuring backward compatibility and operational

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in cloud/platform engineering, DevOps or related discipline.
• At least 2 years building/operating production logging, telemetry or data-platform capabilities.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud-native services.
• Experience operating in on‑premise and cloud/hybrid environments.
• Experience with production data ingestion, streaming, routing, storage, indexing or search.
• IaC and CI/CD for production environments; AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate logging capabilities across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Collect logs from servers, devices, applications, containers, databases, and security devices.
• Build scalable ingestion, routing, storage, indexing, search, and retrieval for logs.
• Define structured logging standards, schemas, metadata, tagging, and correlation.
• Define retention, archival, lifecycle, and deletion policies for different data classes.
• Implement platform capabilities for end‑to‑end observability with telemetry standards.
• Design secure data movement between on‑premise, GCC, and approved external services.
