Job summary

6110 UOB Asset Management Ltd. seeks a data engineering specialist to design and maintain enterprise data platforms and ML-ready data pipelines.

You will partner with stakeholders to deliver effective BI solutions, including dashboards, data governance, and scalable data infrastructure across cloud environments. The role requires 5+ years in data engineering/BI/ML in production, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with cloud data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, BI, or ML engineering in a production environment.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Hands-on experience in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Java, Scala, or C++ is a plus.
• Experience with DataOps and MLOps practices.
• Experience with BigQuery, Kafka, GCP, AWS and related data/ML products and services.
• Strong knowledge of version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and organization; capable of working in a team or independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Cloud and data certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure for enterprise data platforms and ML.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into dashboards and reports.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Implement and manage data governance using cloud-native tools (AWS Glue, Azure Purview, Google Data Catalog).
• Design and maintain cloud-based data platforms for large-scale ingestion, storage, processing.
• Implement data warehousing and centralized data solutions for asset management.
• Evaluate and integrate new data technologies to enhance capabilities.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, processing, transformation.
• Develop data quality checks and validation processes.
• Use ETL/ELT tools to load data into targets.
• Proactively solve issues and share knowledge within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Learn and share knowledge within a multi-disciplinary team.
