Job summary

Kake, a remote-first company and a people-first global community of senior engineers, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer. You will design and own data pipelines, analyze large datasets, and build models to deliver reliable insights for product and engineering teams.

You will ensure data quality, shape data warehouses, and collaborate across time zones in a fast-paced, USD-pay, fully remote environment. Strong SQL and Python/R skills + experience with analytics tools are essential.

Qualifications

• > 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
• > Proficient in SQL and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• > Hands-on programming with Python, R, or similar.
• > Experience building data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or data warehouses.
• > Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
• > Ability to translate business questions into data-driven analysis and recommendations.
• > Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• > Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows supporting analytics and reporting.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Build, validate, and maintain statistical or ML models to solve business problems.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across sources and pipelines.
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and warehouses for scalable analytics.

• Contribute to data best practices and continuous improvement across projects.
• Participate in requirement reviews and identify data risks early.
