Job summary

Apple Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join the Worldwide Sales & Operations Support Business Analytics team. You will design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and operational software that power our Pacific region’s supply chain and decision-making tools.

You will collaborate with data science and analytics teams, building robust data architectures, vector/graph storage, and resilient APIs. Strong Python/SQL and modern data tooling are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building production data pipelines, distributed systems, and backend services.
• Deep proficiency in Python, SQL, and data modeling (dbt).
• Hands-on with orchestration tooling (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and data warehouses (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, DuckDB).
• Experience with vector and graph databases for advanced search and multi-hop modeling.
• Strong API development and experience serving data to users via modern interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design robust ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Build polyglot storage strategies (relational, vector, graph).
• Develop backend services, APIs, and UI components that turn data into operational tools.
• Create scalable batch and streaming pipelines across diverse storage paradigms.
• Collaborate with data science to operationalize data for decision making and automation.
• Implement observability, CI/CD, and tests to detect pipeline issues.
