Job summary

Capgemini in Singapore is seeking a data engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines and shape scalable data architectures. You will design data models, build quality controls, and contribute to platform-level decisions while supporting AI and retrieval-based solutions.

The role requires strong backend skills, ETL/ELT expertise, and experience with cloud-native data platforms, enabling collaboration with cross-functional teams across Capgemini’s global network.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years software engineering experience.
• End to end ownership of production data systems.
• Strong ETL/ELT, data modelling, batch, and streaming processing experience.
• Strong backend development skills in at least one programming language.
• API design and system architecture capabilities.
• Cloud native data platform or lakehouse experience.
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end to end data pipeline design and delivery.
• Design data models and storage architectures.
• Build data quality, observability, and governance capabilities.
• Contribute to broader platform and product architecture.
• Support future AI and retrieval-based solutions.
• Operate autonomously and drive key technical decisions.
• After hours support may be required during testing, verification, and operational exigencies.
