Job summary

Apple is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and operational software for the Pacific Operations team within Worldwide Sales & Operations Support. You will bridge complex data ecosystems, implement robust ingestion and transformation, and deliver data-driven decision tools across relational, vector, and graph stores.

You will collaborate with data science to productionalise data and build scalable batch/streaming pipelines, applying AI/ML

Qualifications

7+ years building production data pipelines and backend services.
Strong Python, SQL, and data modelling (dbt).
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and modern warehouses (PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
Experience with vector and graph databases (Milvus, pgvector, Neo4j).
API development with modern frameworks and async queues/streams (FastAPI, Kafka, Redis).
Understanding AI agents, tool usage, retrieval and RAG pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design robust ingestion and transformation pipelines.
Build polyglot storage strategies (relational, vector, graph).
Develop backend services, APIs, and user interfaces that turn data into operational tools.
Maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines across storage paradigms.
Collaborate with data science to operationalise data for decision‑making.
Ensure observability with data contracts, tests, CI/CD, and monitoring.
