Job summary

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is expanding its EconTech capability within the Enterprise Knowledge Department to support the Economic Policy Group (EPG). You will design, build and operate data pipelines, turning diverse data sources into trusted data products for policy analysis.

You will work on data strategy, stewardship, and AI-enabled data extraction, ensuring robust governance and discovery for enterprise workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; postgraduate in Economics or Statistics is an advantage.
• Around 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms or statistical systems.
• Experience in central banking, economic policy, official statistics, international organisations or financial-sector research is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own EPG’s data inventory and standards for acquisition, storage, versioning, documentation and sharing.
• Translate policy and research needs into prioritised data requirements with economists.
• Design, build and operate production-grade pipelines across sources with validation and monitoring.
• Develop reusable data products and real-time/high-frequency pipelines with clear schemas and lineage.
• Connect data pipelines to downstream analytical programmes and BI tools.
• Build and validate pipelines for extracting structured info from documents and text using LLMs.
• Ensure governance, documentation and safe access patterns for AI-assisted workflows.
