Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a data engineer to design, build and operate data pipelines for MAS EconTech, translating policy needs into data requirements and ensuring robust validation, governance and access. You will work with economists and technologists to produce trusted data products and support AI-enabled workflows.

You will develop production-grade pipelines across statistics, licensed data, APIs and web sources, maintaining lineage and versioning while enabling downstream

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering or data platforms.
• Experience in central banking, economic policy, official statistics or financial‑sector research is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own EPG’s data inventory and standards for acquisition, storage, versioning, documentation and sharing.
• Translate policy and research needs into prioritised data requirements with economists.
• Work with data owners and security teams to bring data assets onto enterprise infrastructure with controls.
• Design and operate production-grade pipelines across statistical, licensed, API, database, file and web sources with robust validation and monitoring.
• Develop reusable data products with schemas, lineage and versioning; connect pipelines to BI tools.
• Build and validate pipelines that extract information from documents using text analytics and LLMs; enable safe AI-assisted workflows.
