Job summary

EY is seeking a Data Engineer in Singapore to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions across cloud platforms. You will work with stakeholders to build reliable data pipelines that enable insights and enterprise data transformations.

You’ll develop and optimize data models and workflows using Python and SQL, collaborating with analytics and reporting teams to meet data requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in data engineering, data integration, or data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience engaging stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Understanding of data modelling and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in business analysis and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across cloud data platforms.
• Develop data models, transformations, and workflows using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and reporting teams to deliver data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data is structured and accessible for analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, reliability, and scalability of pipelines and storage.
• Contribute to data quality, governance, and engineering best practices.
• Support or lead requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process documentation activities
