Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and governance practices across multiple business applications and sources.

You will optimise data platforms, automate deployment in cloud environments, and collaborate with data leads and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, analytics-ready solutions. Strong Python/SQL skills and experience with data modelling are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data management, or related disciplines.
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills.
• Experience with cloud-based data architectures and platforms.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data cataloguing.
• Experience with BI and data visualization tools is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines integrating data from diverse applications and sources.
• Implement data quality controls and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Transform, cleanse, enrich data to support analytics needs.
• Establish governance for data, analytical models, and automated decisions.
• Develop data models including structures, relationships, and business rules.
• Ensure data platforms adhere to security, governance, and compliance standards.
• Develop automated deployment and cloud-based infrastructure for data solutions.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor capacity, performance, and resource usage with forecasting.
• Collaborate with data leads and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Guide reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions for users.
• Promote data governance and engineering best practices across teams.
