Job summary

Google LLC in Singapore is seeking a Senior Staff Data Center Engineer, Mechanical to lead the design and construction of mission-critical mechanical systems for our data centers. You will apply advanced engineering principles to optimize cooling, infrastructure, and safety in large-scale facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and 12 years of hands-on experience in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
Experience in mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with operations and design team to verify the data center (DC) mechanical designs starting from master planning to project conception to IFC for new DC projects build outs and major infrastructure upgrades.
Involve in new technology research and department (R&D) and project insertions through collaboration with the core engineering teams during the development.
Review system level concept and schematics designs and verify through to detail designs to assure requirements are met.
Collaborate with Data center Technology Systems (DCTS) for program level mechanical system issues during project design phase, identify and resolve issues with the cross-functional program teams.
Identify global program wide issues that impact multiple projects and help determine a path forward as well as act as the escalation path for field issues.
