Senior Mechanical Projects Lead – Data Center Infra

Job summary

JLL in Singapore is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Lead Engineer (PM) with 15+ years’ experience to design, plan, and manage mechanical systems for infrastructure fit-out projects, preferably data centres, and to act as technical lead across APAC.

You will collaborate with Clients, Consultants and Contractors to deliver newbuild Datacenters, ensuring design quality, schedule adherence and compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) license preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in designing and managing mechanical systems for newbuild or infrastructure fit-out projects.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices for infrastructure fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Review, comment and align Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection drawings and design documentation using Google Workspace, BIM360 and 3Dx cloud platforms.
• Attend design meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize unnecessary work.
• Report all issues, progress and blocking items to the Technical Program Manager and Technical Lead.
• Provide technical support to all designs for systems identified for off-site manufacture.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure alignment with standards.
