Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician in Singapore with a strong HVAC background to maintain data center systems. You will inspect piping, pumps, and HVAC components, read blueprints, and support commissioning of new equipment. Must have 5 years in mechanical/HVAC and be able to work non-standard shifts.

Applicants should have an Associate's degree or equivalent training and be eligible to work in Singapore without sponsorship. Safety PPE and proper safety practices are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certified training in a related technical field.
• 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment and use PPE safely.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components.
• Provide daily assistance to technicians by reading blueprints/schematics/sequence of operations, conducting tours of systems, and assessing their working order.
• Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC and control and monitoring systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
