Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to help design, review and optimize mechanical systems for our hyperscale facilities in APAC.

You will work with architects, engineers and vendors to deliver safe, efficient data center infrastructure from design through commissioning. Applicants should have a strong background in mechanical design for large facilities, experience with CFD or related analyses, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and review of mechanical systems for data center projects and upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues.
• Localize global designs to comply with APAC regulations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
• Propose sustainable mechanical designs and oversee testing for critical equipment.
• Update internal design specs and integrate lessons learned into future builds.
