Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Data Center Engineering lead to shape the mechanical design of mission-critical facilities across APAC. You will oversee HVAC, fire protection, plumbing design and coordinate with Architects and Engineers to meet safety, reliability and efficiency goals.

You will apply advanced methods such as CFD and pipe-stress analysis, adapt global designs to regional regulations, and drive improvements from site due diligence through construction and operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and review of critical mechanical systems for data center projects and upgrades.
• Resolve complex mechanical issues through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Localize global designs to satisfy regional regulations and drive cost, safety, schedule, and efficiency in APAC.
• Propose sustainable mechanical designs and oversee factory witness testing for crucial equipment.
• Update and maintain internal design specifications and standards, integrating improvements into future builds.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Master's degree in an Engineering or Business field, or equivalent practical experience
