Job summary

Google LLC in Singapore is seeking a Data Center Engineer to lead end-to-end design and review of critical mechanical systems for hyperscale data centers. You will drive safe, efficient infrastructure upgrades and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

You will apply CFD, pipe stress analysis, and AI-driven insights to meet stringent requirements, local regulations, and regional APAC needs, while aiming for sustainable, scalable solutions and rigorous design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and review of critical mechanical systems (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing) for data center projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Resolve complex, program-level mechanical issues with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Localize global designs to satisfy regional regulations for APAC facilities, optimizing safety, quality, schedule and cost.
• Drive sustainable mechanical designs and oversee factory witness testing for key equipment.
• Update and maintain internal design specifications, integrating improvements into future builds.
