Job summary

Tallentire is seeking a Head of Credit Risk & Underwriting for a regulated institution with a USD 500m credit fund. The role is fully remote and open to candidates across Europe.

You will own the credit decision end to end, run counterparty assessments on institutional borrowers (including unsecured exposures), build the underwriting view, and monitor a USD 500m portfolio day-to-day while presenting to committees.

Qualifications

• Substantial credit underwriting experience with ownership of the credit decision.
• Experience with unsecured exposures and counterparty assessment.
• Comfort operating hands-on in a small, fast-moving environment.
• Credible in presenting to investment or risk committees.

Responsibilities

• Own credit underwriting for the fund from origination screening to credit decision and documentation.
• Run counterparty credit assessment on institutional borrowers, including unsecured exposures.
• Set and maintain exposure frameworks, limits and covenant structures.
• Monitor a USD 500m portfolio with early warning indicators and liquidity risk.
• Collaborate with asset operations on collateral, settlement and daily portfolio mechanics.
• Present credit recommendations to investment and risk committees.
• Contribute to structuring on selected transactions.
