BP Business Solutions India Private Limited is seeking a commercially minded lawyer to support the APAC power and carbon trading business. The role focuses on providing legal support across trading and origination activities, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and pragmatic guidance.

You will work with the ST&S legal team, internal stakeholders, and external counsel, balancing legal, regulatory and commercial considerations to enable informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practise law in a common law jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience advising on complex commercial transactions.
• Experience in energy, commodities or trading is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal support to APAC power business across trading and origination activities.
• Advise on regulatory frameworks for power and carbon trading, including licensing and reporting.
• Distill complex legal issues into pragmatic recommendations for decision-making.
• Manage disputes related to trading contracts and regulatory investigations.
• Collaborate with ST&S legal colleagues and external counsel to support the business.
