Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd AG is seeking a motivated candidate to support maritime logistics planning in Singapore. You will help ensure vessels sail efficiently by balancing customer demands, constraints, and priorities, while coordinating with global teams across regions.

You’ll develop skills in data analysis, decision making under pressure, and proactive issue spotting in a fast-paced shipping environment. Prior internship exposure to shipping or logistics is beneficial.

What You\'ll Do

You\’ll play a key role in making sure our ships sail full, efficient, and on schedule balancing customer demands, operational constraints, and commercial priorities.

• Managing vessel space – ensuring ships are well-utilised across different trade routes
• Planning cargo allocation – tactical decision making based on booking development.
• Monitoring bookings – tracking how quickly space is filling up and adjusting plans when needed
• Making real-time decisions – prioritising cargo when space is limited or disruptions occur
• Working with global teams – coordinating with planners, commercial teams, and customer service across regions
• Handling operational challenges – e.g. delays, transshipment connections, or special cargo requirements
• Improving performance – supporting KPIs such as vessel utilisation, booking response time, and on-time loading
