Job summary

STRAITS CONSTRUCTION SINGAPORE PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a seasoned MEP Coordination Engineer to lead the overall MEP work and progress on multiple projects during and after the Defects Liability Period (DLP). You will verify submissions, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with MEP standards and contractual requirements.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Service, with 5 years of relevant experience, and preferably knowledge of Autodesk Revit.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Building Service.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit will have added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in coordination and supervision of MEP works in local building construction, preferably in high-rise projects.
• Good knowledge of MEP specifications, code of practices, standards and BCA quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for all the MEP work and progress of multiple projects during and after DLP.
• Verify and follow-up on submission of necessary drawings, OMM, materials, method statements by subcontractors and/or project team.
• Plan and coordinate MEP trainings to Client representatives as specified in contract.
• Coordinate and verify maintenance schedule of MEP systems during DLP
• Check and ensure compliance with TOP check lists and RI (M&E)
• Plan and coordinate inspections related to MEP trades.
• Plan and monitor MEP work progress and updates
• Identify and resolve MEP site issues and defects faced at different projects during and after DLP
• Establish proper communication with internal (ie. project and maintenance teams) and external stakeholders (ie. clients, managing agents, end-users)
• Work with site teams to manage and rectify MEP defects/issues
• Initiate and attend meetings (subcons, consultants, managing agents, end-users, etc)
• Carry out site audits as required
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor/Management.
