Job summary

Straits Construction Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to oversee all MEP works across multiple projects during and after the DLP phase. You will verify submissions, coordinate MEP trainings with client representatives, monitor maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with TOP checklists and RI (M&E).

A degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services is required with at least 5 years of MEP coordination experience and BIM/Revit proficiency; high-rise project

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
• Proficiency in BIM software; Autodesk Revit advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of MEP coordination and supervision experience in local building construction, preferably high-rise.
• Strong knowledge of MEP specifications, standards and BCA quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for MEP work and progress across multiple projects during and after DLP.
• Verify and follow-up on submissions of drawings, OMM, materials, method statements by subcontractors and project team.
• Plan and coordinate MEP trainings to Client representatives per contract.
• Coordinate and verify maintenance schedule of MEP systems during DLP.
• Check compliance with TOP check lists and RI (M&E).
• Plan and coordinate inspections related to MEP trades.
• Plan and monitor MEP work progress and updates.
• Identify and resolve MEP site issues and defects on different projects during and after DLP.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (clients, managing agents, end-users).
• Work with site teams to manage and rectify MEP defects/issues.
• Initiate and attend meetings with subcontractors, consultants, managing agents, end-users.
• Carry out site audits as required.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

• Carry out site audits as required
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor/Management.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Building Service.
• Candidate with proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit will have added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in coordination and supervision of MEP works in local building construction. Preferably in high rise building projects.
• Good knowledge of MEP specifications, code of practices, standards and BCA quality requirements.
