Job summary

Takenaka Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Design Coordinator to oversee design development progress for assigned projects and liaise with clients and authorities. You will coordinate schematic-to-production drawings, perform structural analysis, and prepare 2D/3D presentations in line with project requirements.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Structural Engineering or Architecture and 3–8 years of relevant experience in main contractor/building construction, with preference for A&A, airport,

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Structural Engineering or Architecture or equivalent.
• 3-8 years of related experience in Main Contractor/Building Construction Industry.
• Candidates with A&A, airport and office buildings experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparations and modifications of schematic, detailed and production drawings.
• Design and analyse various structures of assigned project(s).
• Undertake structural designs and produce structural calculations/simulations reports per specifications.
• Prepare 2D/3D presentations and design drawings.
• Compile data and perform elementary design computations.
• Assist in design, documentation, tender submissions, scheduling and budget adherence.
• Participate in client liaison, authority consultations, coordination with consultants/subcontractors, and meetings.
• Coordinate with involved parties to ensure construction activities align with project design requirements.
• Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management/Direct Supervisor.

Job description

The Design Coordinator will have the responsibility of overseeing the progress for design development for the assigned projects against the given schedule. He/She will also be required to participate and be involved in liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as clients and the relevant authorities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the preparations and modifications of schematic, detailed and production drawings
2. Responsible for designing and analysing various structures of assigned project(s)
3. Responsible for undertaking structural designs for assigned project(s) and producing structural calculations/simulations reports in line with structural specifications
4. Responsible for the preparation of 2D and 3D presentations and/or design drawings
5. Responsible for the compilation of data and performance of elementary design computations
6. To assist in design, providing technical documentation, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and project budgets
7. Required to participate in Client liaison, authority consultation, coordination with consultants and subcontractors, and attending design and construction meetings
8. Liaise with involved parties to plan, arrange and ensure that construction activities are carried out as per project design requirements
9. To handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned by the Management/Direct Supervisor

Requirements:

1. To possess a Diploma/Degree in Structural Engineering / Architecture or equivalent
2. To have at least 3 - 8 years of related working experience under Main Contractor/Building Construction Industry
3. Candidates with prior A&A, airport and office buildings related projects will be preferred
4. Candidates will be considered for the role based on their relevant qualifications, skills, and years of experience
