Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced electrical control systems engineer to design and develop automated industrial systems and related instrumentation. You will create MCCs, VFD panels, PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions and prepare detailed technical docs for projects across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The role requires hands-on PLC/HMI/SCADA design, strong IEC/SS knowledge, and ability to travel ~20% within the region. Prior experience with FAT/SAT and commissioning is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical control system design and industrial automation projects
• Hands-on experience in PLC system design/programming
• Experience with HMI and/or SCADA system design and development
• Strong knowledge of VFDs, instrumentation and industrial communication/networking
• Able to prepare electrical/control drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of IEC Standards, Singapore Standards (SS) and electrical safety requirements
• Experience in BMS/BAS, HVAC controls or Energy Management Systems is advantageous
• Experience supporting water/wastewater, food & beverage manufacturing or material handling systems is advantageous
• Experience with FAT, SAT and commissioning
• LEW licence and/or PMP certification would be advantageous
• Good troubleshooting, communication and project coordination skills
• Willing to travel approximately 20% within Singapore and Southeast Asia

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control and industrial automation systems.
• Design MCCs, VFD panels, PLC systems, HMI/SCADA systems, power distribution equipment and instrumentation systems
• Develop and program PLC, HMI and SCADA applications for industrial and building automation projects.
• Configure industrial communication networks including Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, BACnet and MQTT
• Perform equipment selection, sizing calculations and prepare technical specifications.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, cable schedules, I/O lists and functional specifications
• Produce electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical / Autodesk AutoCAD
• Conduct FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of control and automation systems.
• Perform system performance optimisation and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors and vendors on technical and project requirements.
• Provide technical support, system documentation and training to customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Support regional projects and travel within Singapore and Southeast Asia when required
