Job summary

Seatrium Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to align with the Project Management Team on contract administration needs and to guide the project team in applying contract terms. You will advise on deviations, manage change orders, and coordinate with procurement, legal and stakeholders to maximise project revenues.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in contract management, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of contract management, administration, purchasing or contracting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance.
• Superior attention to detail to spot inconsistencies in contracts.
• Able to negotiate terms and draft contracts.
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data and draw conclusions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in Offshore, Engineering or Construction is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensures alignment with Project Management on contract administration needs and objectives.
• Ensures project team uses contracts properly and understands requirements.
• Advises stakeholders on deviations from contract requirements.
• Analyzes contract terms to identify risks and opportunities.
• Provides alternate mitigating contract articles and negotiates with customers.
• Writes contract letters, notices and other communications.
• Ensures required insurance is in place and certificates obtained from vendors.
• Manages contract administration to maximise project revenues.
• Manages change orders from identification to resolution and negotiates claims.
• Transfers originals of contractual documents to proper functions.
• Ensures contract information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Manages milestone and close-out activities and turnover of project.
• Checks payment-related notices meet contractual requirements.
• Liaises with stakeholders to prepare timely contract deliverables.
• Supports negotiations of claims, variations and disputes with contractors.
• Ensures communications between company and contractors align with agreements.
• Interfaces with project team and external vendors on cost, progress, payments and change orders.
• Liaises with teams to draft and file correspondence with clients, vendors and authorities.
• Attends progress meetings and shares detailed notes with stakeholders.
• Assesses changes and negotiates terms with customers and subcontractors.
