Job summary

Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd is seeking a qualified professional to oversee container technical maintenance within the assigned region. The role emphasizes governance of MNR costs, vendor management, and adherence to industry standards including IICL, ISO and CSC, with oversight of repair estimates from PIL offices.

The position leverages analytics and AI-enabled decision-support tools to prioritize cases, ensuring consistency and quality across operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Professional Qualification in engineering or equivalent.
• Experiences: A minimum of 2-10 years’ experience in container inspection, repair and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to all aspects of container technical and maintenance in assigned geographical region
• Responsible for MNR expenses in the region
• Develop and implement processes to manage vendors, control MNR cost and enforce safety standards in container maintenance
• Leverage technical knowledge of industry defined container inspection and repair standards, IICL, ISO, CSC, etc. to review and approve container repair estimates from regional PIL offices
• Leverage analytics, automation and AI-enabled decision-support tools to prioritize cases, identify exceptions and support approval decisions, ensuring consistent application of standards, governance requirements and operational controls
• Plan and perform onsite audit of new building factories, depots and repairers to ensure containers are manufactured, maintained and repaired in accordance to industry standards and PIL specification
• Data analysis on repairs, identifying trends, provide insights to improve processes
• Drive collection of 3rd party MNR recoveries from liable parties that are responsible for damaging PIL containers
• Drive container turnaround time and ensure damaged containers are quickly repaired and put in service or empty repositioned to repair locations
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements
