Placement Professionals seeks a Senior Consultant for our Insurance Practice across Southeast Asia. You will lead workstreams on life, non-life, and reinsurance programs, partnering with clients to address strategic and digital transformation challenges.

You will contribute to market research, thought leadership, and the development of junior team members while mentoring analysts and ensuring high-quality delivery across engagements.

Formación

• Degree from a recognized university in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computing or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant management consulting or insurer transformation experience.
• Solid knowledge of the Southeast Asia insurance market.
• Experience leading or contributing to client engagements with stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical ability and concise recommendations.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Insurance Practice, offering extensive insurance industry expertise and a proven history of delivering high-impact consulting engagements throughout the region. This client-facing and delivery-oriented position is ideal for professionals who combine strong insurance expertise with the structured analytical and communication abilities expected of an experienced consultant. You will take the lead on workstreams for complex engagements involving life, non-life, and reinsurance clients across Southeast Asia, partnering closely with clients to address strategic, operational, and digital transformation challenges. In addition to project delivery, you will contribute actively to market research, thought leadership, and the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

Business consulting & Analysis

• Manage comprehensive business analysis across client engagements, covering requirements gathering, current-state assessment, gap analysis, and solution development
• Lead the preparation of functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and other project deliverables while maintaining high quality standards
• Leverage extensive insurance industry expertise to identify client challenges, question underlying assumptions, and formulate practical recommendations across areas including underwriting, claims, policy administration, distribution, or finance
• Support and guide clients through digital and operational transformation, translating business needs into actionable solutions

Project Execution & Coordination

• Take ownership of workstream execution, covering planning, risk and dependency management, milestones, and coordination between client and internal teams
• Engage confidently with senior client stakeholders, across in workshops, steering committees, and day-to-day advisory interactions
• Ensure quality assurance across project activities ensuring issues are tracked and resolved effectively

Market Insights & Business Development

• Contribute meaningfully to proposal development, including solutioning, scoping, and commercial framing
• Lead or support development of market insights, benchmarking analyses, and thought leadership relevant to the Southeast Asian insurance landscape
• Help build the firm's insurance intellectual capital and point of view on key industry trends
• Mentor and develop analysts and junior consultants on the team, supporting their growth in both domain knowledge and consulting craft

Requirements

• Degree from a recognized university, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computing or a related field .Candidates from other disciplines with strong analytical skills are also encouraged to apply.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in management consulting with insurance clients, or in-house at an insurer or reinsurer in a business, operations, or transformation role
• Solid knowledge of the regional insurance market, business environment, competitive landscape, and operational practices
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to consulting engagements or internal transformation projects, including stakeholder management and structured delivery
• Demonstrated analytical ability to break down complex issues, synthesize findings, and formulate concise recommendations
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English will be useful for engaging confidently with senior audiences
• Prior exposure to insurance initiatives could be an advantage such as:
• Functional knowledge in one or more insurance domains such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, actuarial, or distribution
• Hands-on experience with technology-led insurance initiatives such as core system implementations, digital distribution or customer portals, workflow automation, data analytics or BI
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to SEA markets
• Proficiency in additional languages would be an advantage in supporting communication and collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
