Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and recognition by PE Board OR equivalent for Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure safety, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and trades to meet specifications and method statements.
• Develop construction methodologies, temporary works, and site logistics to optimize productivity.
• Conduct daily site inspections for progress, quality, and compliance with drawings.
• Chair site coordination meetings and resolve technical issues to meet milestones.
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations and implement safety management systems.
• Liaise with Project Manager, Design Manager, and QP/PE on technical matters and feasibility.
• Review method statements, temporary works designs, and lifting plans for subcontractors.
• Monitor costs, manpower, material usage, and equipment; report variances and implement actions.
• Liaise with authorities (BCA, MOM, SCDF, NEA, PUB) for inspections and permits.
• Oversee handover, defects rectification, testing, commissioning, and TOP/CSC preparation.
• Mentor site engineering staff to foster safety and technical excellence.
