Job summary

HOCK LIAN SENG INFRASTRUCTURE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Engineer for major Singapore projects. You will plan, coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery in line with drawings and regulatory requirements.

The role requires collaboration with consultants, subcontractors and the project team, plus strong site-management and technical drawing interpretation skills. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Experience with main contractor projects in building and construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site coordination and sequencing.
• Familiarity with Singapore regulations, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, C&S and M&E drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily construction activities per drawings, specs and programmes.
• Prepare and monitor short- and long-term work schedules to hit milestones.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery and subcontractors for smooth on-site operations.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, submittals and RFIs for clarity and constructability.
• Coordinate with consultants to resolve design clashes and queries.
• Supervise subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring safety and quality.
• Maintain QA/QC by following ITPs, inspections and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project safety procedures.
• Prepare progress reports and support cost/control initiatives.
