Job summary

SURBANA JURONG CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a senior professional to lead contract strategy and procurement activities within major infrastructure projects.

You will advise on forms of contract, prepare tender documentation, and manage tender processes from qualification to recommendation reports. You will provide contractual guidance to project teams, draft contractual correspondences, and review variation claims, EOT submissions and loss and expense claims.

Qualifications

• Recognised Degree in Legal and/or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a QS consulting environment.
• Experience in infrastructure, container port, marine terminals or coastal development projects.
• Familiar with Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract.
• Strong writing, communication, negotiation and mediation skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Independent worker and effective team player.
• Willing to travel overseas when required.

Responsibilities

• Formulation of procurement strategy and advise on form of contract; prepare tender documentation and evaluate submissions.
• Provide contractual advice to project teams; draft correspondences; review variation, extension of time and loss & expense claims; maintain risk register.
• Support negotiations of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes with contractors.
• Monitor and report on legal developments in construction to project teams.
