Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Compliance Director for its Singapore team. This leadership role covers regulatory, governance and compliance matters across multiple business lines, with close collaboration with senior management.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in regulated financial services, deep knowledge of Singapore rules, and a proven ability to provide practical, risk-based advice to senior stakeholders. Strong communication and governance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant compliance experience within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory requirements and capital markets activities.
• Ability to provide practical, risk-based compliance advice to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience across investment banking, capital markets, wealth management, asset management or related businesses would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advice on regulatory requirements, business initiatives and new products.
• Develop, maintain and enhance compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Engage with regulators and manage regulatory enquiries, inspections and reporting obligations.
• Conduct compliance monitoring, investigations and remediation activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and manage compliance risks.
• Deliver compliance training and promote a strong culture of governance and conduct.
• Prepare compliance updates and reports for senior management and governance committees.
