Job summary

Rio Tinto is seeking a Senior Advisor - Market Risk to implement the Market Risk Management Framework within its Commercial arm. Based in Singapore, you will partner with Sales & Marketing, Digital and Finance to analyze risk and deliver P&L insights.

You will report to the Manager - Market Risk and work closely with Trading, Sales and Finance to monitor performance, VaR, and stress testing, while improving reporting processes across the function.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in physical commodity trading and risk management.
• Good understanding of VAR methodologies and risk measurement.
• Experience of programming/database languages in Python / VBA / SQL / R.
• Good understanding of Product Control and Risk Reporting.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Contribute to the creation of trading performance analysis and implement/ operationalize this.
• Be part of transformation efforts to establish certain middle office processes, including with trading, as well as policies, procedures and support the build out the market risk management framework for commercial.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We're on the lookout for a Senior Advisor - Market Risk as part of operationalizing and building out the Market Risk Management Framework for Rio Tinto Commercial. The role will work very closely with the Sales & Marketing, Digital and Finance teams.
